For the second year in a row, Envoys celebrates Earth Day with a focus on actions that go beyond a single day of raising awareness. Corporations have created a narrative that individuals are responsible for climate change, but in reality, it is the unsustainable ways of production that have led us to where we are today. This does not mean that as individuals, we should stop our efforts to live more sustainably, but how can we use this knowledge to create real accountability among big actors like the private sector and governments around the world?
In this summit, students will learn to use their voices and their agency through hearing the stories of our guest speakers: individuals committed to saving the planet. We will explore the different avenues of action that we have as citizens of the world, and we will learn about how we can support organizations who are already hard at work in solving one of the biggest challenges humanity has had to face.
